The South Franklin Circle Gardens, designed by Oehme van Sweden and Associates will offer a program describing the project followed by a Walking tour and discussion of the design, maintenance, especially the long term maintenance implications of sustainable designs.
APLD Ohio is going to have a short lecture and grounds tour at 16575 south Franklin circle Saturday morning. Meeting in the front events parking lot, we will walk to main door to meet up with our guide. It starts at 9:30 am and would run till about 11 -11:30 latest.
From there a drive to 1092 Bell road to Merilee Marshall’s house we toured before newly installed. Now things have grown in a bit. I will talk about the natural landscape design using hundreds of native plants, storm water management success and the upkeep needs we have faced since installed in 2010. The home is called The Treehouse Project.com and recently received LEED platinum. After both tours meet back in chagrin for lunch those who want to.
