The tour will start Friday morning August 7th at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens. Steve Fultz, Scott Beuerlein, and John Devore will lead us on an informal tour of the Zoo and Botanical Garden. The main topic of discussion will be the problems and challenges they’ve encountered designing and installing these gardens. What an exciting inside opportunity that will be! Later that afternoon and on Saturday we will tour various gardens designed and installed by Bill Ripley, John Devore and Reuben Huffman. Depending on the weather, other side trips may include Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati Conservatory and other attractions appealing to landscape designers. Bill and John have worked very hard to put together this exciting weekend for us.

Also, Mark and Cynthia Druckenbrod will discuss their new lilies that they have developed. Cynthia is the Director of Horticulture for Cleveland Botanical Gardens and can tell us all about the tree houses, done by TV’s tree house guru, that are on display at CBG. Design, design, design. Mark is the board president of the famous Lakeview Cemetery in Cleveland that is undergoing some big changes. The gardens there are spectacular and the history of some of them just might peak your interest.
If you are new to the Ohio Chapter of APLD this is a good way to meet some of the officers and chat with fellow designers.
Hope to see you!
